President: Today Obama attends Malia’s high school graduation from Sidwell Friends school in D.C. In an interview, Obama said, “She’s one of my best friends. And it’s going to be hard for me not to have her around all the time. But she’s ready to go. You can tell. She’s just a really smart, capable person and she’s ready to make her own way.”
Election 2016: As of yesterday, President Obama, Joe Biden, and Sen. Warren have endorsed Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, Sen. Sanders agrees to join forces with Clinton to prevent Trump from winning the nomination. However, the joined forces of Sanders and Clinton does not mean that Sanders is giving up on his campaign. Sanders has pledged to continue his campaign until the very end.
House of Reps: House passed a bipartisan bill to help Puerto Rico with $70 billion debt crisis. The bill will now move on to the Senate before it is signed into effect by the president.
U.S.: Police officers shoot man outside of baggage claim at Dallas Love Field. The man was involved in a domestic disturbance situation as the man threw rocks at his kid’s mother. Police officers responded to the situation; the man was struck several times and taken to a local hospital.
World: There has been debris found in Madagascar, and Australia that could possibly belong to the missing Malaysian Airline, flight MH370. It is not yet sure that it does belong to the flight MH370, but further investigations should grant insight.
Entertainment: Memorial service for Muhammad Ali is taken place in his hometown, Louisville Kentucky. Louisville is honouring their hero, one of the greatest.
